The Story of Everything Else
Information
On a quiet street of Hiraethia sits an old bookshop that's existed for centuries. Rumour has it that it's no ordinary bookshop. Julius Paragon has been in charge of the bookshop ever since his father mysteriously disappeared years ago. His job as the seventh generation "guardian" is one that he's honoured to have, but just how far can a legacy carry him before he starts to question everything that he's been taking for granted?

Title Card
Before I decided to make this into my first RPG project, it was supposed to be a scroll-format webcomic. The title card was designed for that format and the font is meant to give off a slightly gothic vibe, like one would find on the cover of an old fairy tale. Though the text is overlayed with bronze, there is another version of the title card in which the text is replaced with gold that is used against darker backgrounds where the colour stands out more.
Character Art

The very first concepts of the character designs was done on Picrew, solely to decide on the characters' hairstyles and colour schemes. After which, I modified their designs to my liking and style. However, I consider that a very early draft and so there are many things that have changed since then, besides their colour schemes that have remained pretty much the same. In designing these characters, I went for more unique and memorable features such as the main character's different coloured eyes, but also ones that I felt would fit them, such as brighter colours that stand out for a royal and something less conspicuous for an assassin.

Background
The Story of Everything Else is a plot that honestly came out of nowhere. I don't remember exactly how I came up with it, only that I wanted something with a bit of fantasy. Maybe it was a shower thought that it would be cool if we could visit book worlds. Maybe it was inspired by something I'd watched back then. Whatever it was, it evolved to the point I no longer remember what first inspired it and it's now one of my most complicated plots (but one that I'm quite proud of coming up with). I remember spending hours trying to plan out the timeline of the story and at some point, I focused on other projects and left this one in the back-burner. When I came back to it in 2025 — nearly two years after I first came up with the story — I was quite mind-blown by how much I'd planned out. So with a random idea I had to make an RPG, I thought why not make this into one? After all, the story fits the kind of game I wanted to make, that is something chill but with a plot deep enough to leave an impression.
I've never made a game before nor have I done any 3D modelling, so this is a very huge project to me. I expect that it will take at least a few years to get started and I'm not sure I'll have the time nor money to complete it on my own, but I will work towards that. With another game project I'm working on currently, I doubt I'll get started until at least 2030. Until then, I hope you enjoy my other works!
